We love finding moving vintage gold charms and we never know quite what we're going to find next! Like this moving vintage 1960s gold racing greyhound charm. We've never seen another quite like it before and we're absoltely blown away by its detail.
The outisde of the charm has incredible detail throughout. When a small gold accent it slid on the bottom of the charm, a tiny 3D gold greyhound pops out, posed as if it is running at speed and wearing the racing number '7' - often considered a lucky number!
The charm is made of 9ct yellow gold and has British hallmarks for what look to be the maker 'G&H', 9ct gold, London and the date letter 'h' for 1963.
The charm measures approx 11.6mm tall (not including the jump rings) by approx 16.5mm wide by approx 7mm deep and weighs just under 4g, approx 3.98g.
Condition - The charm is in good vintage condition but does show some signs of age and wear, including light surface wear to the gold. There is a small area of gold to the front side of the charm that is slightly lighter in colour but this is only noticeable on close inspection. There are two interconnected jump rings, both are currently soldered closed. Please note that the moving mechanism is quite loose and so the charm can move/the box can open on its own and the dog can slide forward when worn. Please see photos.
*Please note the antique box and chain pictured are not included in the sale but the charm will be shipped in a new presentation box and pouch.*
