We love finding vintage enamel playing card jewellery, it's such a highly collected and rare theme of jewellery to find! This is the first ever vintage enamel playing card brooch we've ever found, we've found individual playing card charms in the past but we love that this is a combination of four different cards!
 
Highly collectable, this vintage playing card brooch has such lovely enamel detailing to the front. Perhaps you love to play cards or you'd like to gift it to someone who is a bit of a joker or the king of your heart, it could symbolise a vartiey of different things! The playing cards are the Ace of Spades, the Jolly Joker, the Ace of Diamonds and the King of Hearts. 
 
The brooch is ready to be worn and appreciated as is but it could also make a wonderful pendant if converted, or it could even be split into four individual charms.
 
The brooch is made of base metal and the front features beautiful enamel detailing. The pin is made of a silver coloured metal and the back of the brooch is made of a gold tone base metal. 
 
The brooch measures approx 38.2mm wide and each card measures approx 13.3mm tall. The brooch weighs approx 5.4g. 
 
Condition - The brooch is in good vintage condition but does show signs of age and wear to the metal and enamel. The enamel is in very good overall condition with no significant chips or cracks. There is just some light surface wear to the enamel. There is heavier surface wear to the metal to the back, the metal looks like it has been sanded in places, with marks in different directions. There are some dark marks, particularly where the fastening mechanism has been connected to the brooch. The pin mechanism still works well. Please see photos.
